Join us for our Member Spotlight Series, featuring Richard Addison, Ph.D., and Maryellen Curran, Ph.D.
PRESENTATION TOPIC:
Balint Group Process is named after Michael and Enid Balint, a psychoanalyst and a social worker who started facilitating these groups at Tavistock Clinic in London for physicians after the Second World War.
This reflective group process enhances understanding of the healing potential of therapeutic relationships.
It uses the power of group process to allow less-conscious aspects of our work with patients to emerge. It provides experiential learning while offering a nourishing antidote to the isolation, burnout and moral distress in psychological care today.
